Nancy Collins, Familiar Face to Ditto's Crowd, Loses Fight with Cancer

The mother of two, an Elk River area native, was only 49.

Friendly and familiar face Nancy Collins lost her fight with cancer Nov. 10, surrounded by family. The Otsego resident and Elk River area native was just 49.

She is survived by her two children, Shannon (Joe) Woolhouse and Mitchell (Brianna) Collins; her mom, Dianne Newell; sister, Linda Christian (Mark Goehner); her brother, Todd Roskaft (Joan Bardsody) and three grandchildren: Logan, Henry and “baby” Woohouse. She also is survived by her niece and nephew, Ellie andChad Christian; and special friend Ron Anderson.

Nancy enjoyed everything from baking and gardening to NASCAR and the Green Bay Packers.

Services are set for 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 at the Church of St. Andrew, 566 4th St. NW, Elk River. Visitation and gathering will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Internment will be at St. Andrew Parish Cemetery.

The family is being served by Dare’s Funeral Home, Elk River.
