Services Set for St. Michael Boy, Includes Balloon Release Saturday

Tyler Purohit lit up St. Michael-Albertville Middle School East in his short time at the school. Now, the community will gather to remember "T-Sizzle."

Family, friends and fans of the boy known as "T-Sizzle" to so many will gather Saturday to remember Tyler Purohit's spirit, sending balloons soaring to the heavens at around 1:30 p.m. at from the grounds of his school–St. Michael-Albertville Middle School East.

Tyler Gabriel Purohit, age 12, of St. Michael passed away on Friday, October 11, 2013 at his residence.

He was born on February 14, 2001 in PrincetonNew Jersey the son of Manoj and Laura Purohit and was currently in the 7th grade at STMA Middle School East. 

Tyler loved being at school and learning as much as he could.  He also enjoyed gaming with his brothers and friends, reading and watching "The Big Bang Theory."

Tyler was passionate about making a difference in this world by being a great friend to all and by helping others in need.

Survived by his father & step mother: Manoj & Julia “Jewels” Purohit of St. Michael; brothers: Trevor, Joffre and Nikhil; paternal grandparents: Jay & Mridula Purohit; maternal grandparents: Sandy Finlayson, Jerry Finlayson; step grandparents: Fran Finlayson; DuWayne Thate and Doris Thate; aunts and uncle: Hasu Malone, Urvashi Purohit & Dave Wulk and Kris & Danielle Thate; cousin: Christopher Malone and many other dear relatives and friends.

Tyler was preceded in death by his mother, Laura in 2006 and by his uncle, Hank Malone in 2011.

Visitations will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on both Wednesday, October 16 and Friday, October 18, and then again Saturday, October 19th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., all at The Peterson Chapel St. Michael-Albertville Funeral Home.

Please join us for a balloon release held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 19 at St. Michael-Albertville Middle School East.
