St. Michael Veteran Larry Lee Essendrup Dies After Brief Illness

He died at his home at age 70.

 

Larry Lee Essendrup of St. Michael, formerly of Raymond, died Nov. 29 after a brief illness. He was 70.

Essendrup enlisted in the U.S. Army 1964 and earned the Nationa Defense Service Medal. He recieved his education in "bridge design" that became his lifelong work for Hennepin County.

He is preceded in death by his mother and father, and is survived by son, Chad of St. Michael; two sisters; Mary (Jim) Wagner of St Cloud, Minnesota and Carol (Paul) Meyer of Clara City, Minnesota, in addition to one granddaughter, Alora Smith of St. Cloud, Minnesota.

His service took place at Peterson Chapel in St. Michael, and he was buried at Fort Snelling National Cemetary in Minneapolis with full honors.
