Reunion Time!

Have you attended a reunion lately? How about experiencing God's reunion?

Had a chance to attend a family reunion this summer?  A High School or College reunion? I was blessed to co-officiate at my nephew’s wedding a couple weeks ago. The wedding turned out to be a family and friend reunion of sorts.  I met up with several high school classmates from my hometown of Kenyon. It was so much fun and so great to reconnect with old friends as part of this celebration.

At one point in time God decided to have a reunion with humanity.  Our Lord intentionally sent is only Son, Jesus Christ, to heal the world and give us the gift of salvation.  I find myself grateful everyday for God’s loving act of coming to us and re-establishing a relationship with us.

God’s reunion with us happens when we forgive.  Without forgiving someone a huge gulf of separation can cause pain and isolation.  Just think about a person right now whom you have had a falling out with and yearn to get back into a relationship with soon.  By God’s grace, you can speak those hard
words- “I’m sorry. Please forgive me.”
