Like the harsh cold in the winter, the unforgiving heat was a deterrent for illegal activity last week in Wright County.

The St. Michael Fire Department was dispatched to a fire call on Interstate 94. There was a report of a vehicle on fire. They were cancelled en-route.
The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 12000th block of 43rd Street NE. A 10-month-old had its leg stuck in the crib.

SMFD responded to a fire alarm call in the 4000th block of Oakwood Parkway NE. It was a false alarm.
St. Michael Fire assisted at the St. Michael-Albertville United Soccer Jamboree. A pumper truck sprayed participants with water to beat the 100-degree heat index.
The Wright County Sheriff’s Department reported 25 property damage accidents, five personal injury accidents, four hit-and-run accidents and one car vs. deer accident. There were eight arrests for DWI, a pair of underage consumption arrests and 21 tickets for miscellaneous traffic violations issued this week.
