Bomb Threat at Wright County School Sends Students, Teachers Home for Today

Law enforcement and school officials called school off in Maple Lake after a threat was called in late Wednesday morning.

A bomb threat at Maple Lake Public School in Maple Lake, about 20 miles west of St. Michael-Albertville, has forced school district staff and law enforcement officials to evacuate that school today. 

According to the Wright County Sheriff's Department, Wright County dispatchers were notified of a bomb threat at the Maple Lake Public School located at 200 State Highway 55 at around 11:10 a.m. This campus houses students in K-12.

Based upon the threat, the school administration made the decision to send all students home for the day.

The nature and credibility of the threat remains under investigation by the Wright County Sheriff's Office.
