Wright County Releases Photo of Albertville Bank Robber

The county is asking anyone with any information to call the Wright County Sheriff's Office at 763 682-7733.

The image, for "small-town" Albertville, is startling.

A  gunman, dressed head to toe in black, his face concealed by a ski mask, is portrayed today in a still grabbed from video shot during yesterday's armed robbery at the Albertville branch of Premier Banks.

The robbery, which occurred shortly before 1 p.m. Wednesday, is still unsolved.

According to a witness report, the suspect is a white male, approximately 5 feet, 7 inches to 6 feet tall, and was wearing a ski mask at the time of the holdup.

He fled on foot.

The man did display a handgun, and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Local authorities are working with police departments in Richfield, Shakopee and Northfield, comparing notes on recent bank robberies in that area. The suspect described in four robberies/attempted robberies is very similar in all cases.

The FBI has NOT confirmed that they believe it is the same man at this time.

The Wright County Sheriff's Department and the FBI searched on the ground and received help from the Minnesota State Highway Patrol from a helicopter for the gunman.

All schools were on lockdown for about two hours until administrative staff received word of an "all clear" from authorities.
