Deputies Mark a Crash-Free Week in Wright County

A glaring item missing from this week's police and fire blotter? Motor-vehicle accidents are way down this summer.

St. Michael Fire, Albertville Fire and Wright County Deputies reported the following calls between June 14 and June 24. 

Wright County deputies marked a first for this summer, with no accident calls from June 18-24. 

June 14
The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical alarm call in the 300th block of Walnut Avenue SW.  They were cancelled en-route by Allina.

The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident at County Road 34 and Ibarra Avenue NE.  One female was transported by helicopter.

The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 200th block of La Beaux Avenue NE.  There was a 60-year-old female feeling lightheaded.

June 15
The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 60th block of Central Avenue E for a child with a cut on his leg. 

June 16
The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 94.  They were cancelled en-route.

June 17
The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a fire call in the 5600th block of Quam Avenue NE.  There was fire and smoke within the building.

Albertville Fire and Rescue responded with mutual aid to St. Michael Fire for a structure fire at a commercial building on the 5600 block of Quam Avenue 

Albertville Fire and Rescue responded to a medical emergency on the 6700 block of Lakeview Circle at 10:41 p.m. A female was having diabetic issues.

The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a weather watch call at Station 1. Albertville Fire also responded.

June 18
The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a fire call in the 5000th block of Quam Avenue NE.  There was a garbage truck that had garbage on fire inside the dumpster area.

The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a fire alarm call in the 700th block of Ibarra Avenue NE.  It was a false alarm.

Richard Louis Dreis, 61, of Otsego was arrested in Monticello on a Wright County apprehension and detention order for 3rd degree DWI.

June 19
Albert John Hartinger, 74, of Dayton was arrested in Buffalo on the charge of 2nd degree arson.

June 20
Albertville Fire and Rescue responded to a residential fire alarm on the 10400 block of Karston Avenue NE at 7:44 PM. The call was cancelled.

June 22
Anthony John Holtz, 35, of St. Michael was arrested in St. Michael on a Hennepin County warrant for theft.

June 24
Denise Ann Judge, 41, of St. Michael was arrested in St. Michael on a Todd County warrant for false information to police and a Chisago County warrant for receiving stolen property.

Wright County deputies reported no accidents for the week. There was one arrest for DWI, one underage consumption arrests and 40 tickets for miscellaneous traffic violations issued this week.
