St. Michael-Albertville Middle School Teacher Shot, Killed

News sources are confirming that Timothy Larson, a special education teacher, was shot and killed over the weekend.

For the second time in less than a month, the St. Michael-Albertville School District is of one of their own.

Special education teacher Timothy Larson, who was a cornerstone at St. Michael-Albertville Middle School West in the special education department, was shot and killed in an altercation in Burbank Township, west of Paynesville, about two hours west of Albertville.

According to WCCO News, Larson was involved in an altercation with 81-year-old Delbert Huber and his son, Timothy Huber, 45, some time on Saturday, Oct. 8.

Around 7:22 p.m. Saturday, Delbert Huber called 911, telling dispatchers he shot a man in the 28000 block of 44th Street Northeast in rural Kandiyohi County.

When Kandyohi Sheriff's Department deputies arrived, they found the body of a 43-year-old man, later identified by WCCO-TV as Timothy Larson. He had apparently suffered a fatal gunshot wound.

Both Delbert and Timothy Huber were arrested.

Delbert Huber could face charges of second-degree murder, which should be filed tomorrow in county court. Timothy Huber faces possible charges of aiding an offender.
