DWI Violation Lands St. Michael Man One Year Sentence

In other Wright County court decisions, a Buffalo man was sentenced to five years probation and 90 days served for theft in a swindle case.

Mercedes Aguilar, 46, of St. Michael, sentenced March 4 for Misdemeanor Failure to Stop for School Bus to 90 days jail, $1,000 fine; 90 days, $900 stayed for one year on conditions of probation, pay $100 fine plus surcharges, have no same or similar violations. Sentenced by Judge Halsey.

Desiree Kara Butler, 24, of Otsego, sentenced on March 8 for Gross Misdemeanor Second Degree DWI to 365 days jail, $3,000 fine; 350 days, $2,900 stayed for four years on conditions of probation, serve 15 days jail, pay $100 fine plus surcharges, pay $75 public defender co-payment, serve 45 days on electronic home monitoring, attend awareness panel for impaired drivers, have no use or possession of alcohol or non-prescription drugs, submit to random testing, undergo a chemical dependency assessment and follow all recommendations, have no same or similar violations. Sentenced by Judge Mottl.

Michael Alexander Kriegler, 28, of Otsego, sentenced March 4 for Probation Violations for Gross Misdemeanor Third Degree DWI to 4 days jail. Sentenced by Judge Halsey.

Thomas Paul Murphy, 47, of St. Michael, sentenced on March 6 for Gross Misdemeanor Third Degree DWI to 365 days jail. Sentenced by Judge Mottl.

Dale Francis Schmidt, 43, of St. Michael, sentenced on March 8 for Misdemeanor Fourth Degree DWI to 90 days jail, $1,000 fine; 88 days, $700 stayed for one year on conditions of probation, serve 2 days jail, pay $300 fine plus surcharges, complete a Level I driving program, attend awareness panel for impaired drivers, have no use or possession of alcohol or non-prescription drugs, have no same or similar violations. Sentenced by Judge Mottl.

Travis Wade Wilkes, 22, of Buffalo, sentenced March 6 for Felony Theft by Swindle to a stay of imposition for five years on conditions of probation, serve 90 days jail, pay $400 fine plus surcharges, provide DNA sample, undergo a gambling assessment and follow all recommendations, have no same or similar violations. Sentenced by Judge Halsey.

Wayne Thomas Winkelman, 60, of St. Michael, sentenced on March 5 for Probation Violations for Gross Misdemeanor Second Degree DWI to 60 days jail. Sentenced by Judge Mottl.
