Fire Calls: Icy, Snowy Roads Lead to Calls for St. Michael and Albertville Crews

Medical calls still dominate this week's report, but drivers had a rough go of it early last week.

Weather systems that knocked out power locally at times and created rough driving conditions forced Albertville and St. Michael firefighters into action over the last couple of weeks. 

That and more in this rundown of calls for service: 

November 24
The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 13000th block of 46th Lane NE for a 63-year-old male have a possible stroke.

November 26
The St. Michael Fire Department responded to medical call in the 13000th block of 44th Court NE for a male who having a possible stroke.

November 28
The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 40th block of 3rd Street NW for an unresponsive female.

November 29
The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a fire alarm call in the 4000th block of Mayfield Avenue NE. It was a false alarm.

November 30
The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 1300th block of Janett Avenue NE for a male who had fallen off a ladder.

The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 4000th block of Lansing Avenue NE for a 41-year-old female who had fallen and hit her head.

December 1
The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a fire call for the smell of smoke in the 13000th of 45thStreet NE.

The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a grass fire call in the area of 30th Street NE and Jamison Avenue NE.

The Albertville Fire and Rescue department responded to call on I-94 at mile marker 198 for a motor vehicle accident. The call was cancelled by Wright County Dispatch. 

December 2
The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 2000th block of Fenning Avenue NE. Albertville Fire was called for mutual aid.  

December 3
The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 11000th block of 45th Circle NE for a 71-year-old male having a possible stroke.

The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 11000th block of Town Center Drive NE for a 47-year-old female having a possible stroke.

December 4
The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Birch Avenue NW and County Road 19. 

The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 4000th block of Lange Avenue NE.  They were cancelled en-route.

The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 13000th block of 55th Street NE for a male who had fallen on the ice.

The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 11000th block of 18th Place NE for a female who was having an allergic reaction.

December 5
Albertville Fire Department responded to a stand-by request for Elk River and Zimmerman Fire Departments as they battled an apartment fire in Elk River.

December 6
Albertville Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in the 11900 block of 53rd Street NE. It was a false alarm and no fire was found.

December 8
Albertville Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 6200 block of MacLynn Avenue NE in Otsego for a 56-year-old male having difficulty breathing.

AFD also responded to a call in the 10500 block of 73rd Lane NE in Otsego for fire alarms sounding. No fire was found.

December 9
The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 94.

The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 100th block of 1st Street SE for an 85-year-old female who was suffering from flu symptoms.

December 10
The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 2000th block of Langston Lane NE for a 2-year-old having a seizure.
