Grass Fires, DWI again Main Culprit for Calls to St. Michael

First responders are still dealing with dry, dead vegetation that can feed grass fires, and patrols are scrounging up DWI violations, according to reports filed over the last week.

The and Wright County Sheriff's Department reported the following incidents over the last 10 days. All information is provided by the organizations.

March 19

Jimmie Dale Callaway, 41, of St. Cloud was arrested in Sherburne County on a Wright County warrant for criminal sexual conduct.

March 20

Jason Marson Michels, 34, of Belgrade was arrested in Otsego for drive after cancellation inimical to public safety.

March 21

Karl Lee Raymond, 39, of St. Michael was arrested in St. Michael for 3rd Degree DWI.

March 22

The St. Michael Fire Department (SMFD) responded to a medical call in the 20th block of 1st Street SE.  There was a elderly male having difficulty getting out of bed.

March 23

Michael John Steffens, 29 of Albertville was arrested in Albertville on Wright County warrants for 5th degree controlled substance violation and 3rd degree DWI.

March 25

The SMFD was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in the 200th block of Main Street S.  They were cancelled en-route. 

The department responded to a carbon monoxide call in the 11000th block of Town Center Drive NE.  There was a carbon monoxide alarm going off.

March 26

The department responded to a fire call near the intersection of County Road 35 and 35th Street NE.  There was a grass fire.

There were eight property damage accidents, two hit and run accidents and four car vs. deer accidents.

There were four arrests for DWI, two underage consumption arrests and

31 tickets for miscellaneous traffic violations issued this week.
