Here We Go Again: Another Line of Thunderstorms Triggers Warning for Wright County

Another system making its way through Central Minnesota has triggered a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The National Weather Service in Chanhassen has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Wright County, in effect Tuesday morning through 8:30. 

Wright County Dispatch issued the call for weather spotters at 7:30 a.m. this morning with a call to all fire departments and sheriff's deputies as the storms were forming to the west, headed east/southeast. 

The lead storm of the system was rolling through Willmar around 7:30 a.m., but the actual front stretches as far north as Little Falls, and as far south as Brookings, S.D.

Some of the storm cells had a history of dropping heavy rain, some pea-sized hail and winds in excess of 60 mph. The storm itself was moving 50 mph.

IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM... PREPARE IMMEDIATELY FOR DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH AND HAIL. SEEK SHELTER NOW INSIDE A STURDY STRUCTURE AND STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.
