Monticello Man Dies in Tuesday Morning Accident
The accident occurred Tuesday afternoon near the old Osowski's Market. The driver was the only person involved in the crash.
An 81-year-old Monticello Township man died Tuesday after his car left the roadway near the intersection of 127th Avenue NE and 120th Street NE (Orchard Road) west of Monticello.
According to the Wright County Sheriff's Department, a call was placed to Wright County Dispatch about a car leaving the road and striking a tree shortly before 2 p.m. Tuesday.
The driver was identified Wednesday morning as William Charles Papke of Monticello.
Papke was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident
