More Than 70 Traffic Tickets in One Week: Wright County Police Blotter

Along with traffic incidents, the St. Michael area saw several arrests for assault, theft and stalking.

 

Wright County saw an unusually high number of traffic tickets in the past week. Miscellaneous traffic violations resulted in 71 tickets cited by the Wright County Sheriff's Office.

In addition, there were 34 property damage accidents, two personal injury accidents, four hit and run accidents and 12 car-deer accidents in Wright County in the past week.

There were three arrests for DWI, no underage consumption arrests, and one school bus stop arm violation in the past week.

Arrests in the St. Michael area ranged from assault to theft and stalking. The following St. Michael, Albertville and Otsego arrests were reported by the Wright County Sheriff's Office in the past week. An arrest means the person has been taken into custody and, in most cases, charged with the crime listed

Feb. 5:
Seneca Warrior Steeprock, 31, of Shakopee was arrested in Albertville on the charge of third-degree DWI.

Justin Anthony Longfield, 28, of Albertville was arrested in Buffalo on a Wright County warrant for second-degree assault.

Christopher Lee Valla, 35, of St. Michael was arrested in St. Michael on the charge of domestic assault.

Feb. 6:
Timothy John Carty, 35, of Otsego was arrested in Otsego on a Benton County warrant for domestic assault.

Feb. 8:
Landon Richard Macdonald, 18, of Big Lake was arrested in Otsego on a Wright County warrant for theft.

Mark Gilmore Swanson, 58, of Elk River was arrested in Sherburne County on a Wright County warrant for stalking.

Michael Joseph Kovar, 26, of Albertville was arrested in Albertville on a Wright County warrant for failure to appear.

Dontra Tevin Salmon, 22, of Otsego was arrested in Otsego on a Wright County warrant for failure to appear.
