Otsego Man Charged with Sexual Assault of 11-year-old Girl

The man, her mother's boyfriend, allegedly assaulted the girl after her mother told her to watch them have sex. He was arrested last week.

An Otsego man faces numerous charges for allegedly sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl at her mother’s Otsego home in 2012, after her mother told her to watch the mother and her boyfriend have sex.

The mother's boyfriend, Robert William Lehse, 46, of Otsego, was arrested by Wright County deputies last week and charged with six counts of criminal sexual conduct on a child that took place between January 2012 and November 2012 — two counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct, one count of first-degree attempted criminal sexual conduct, one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct, one count of second-degree criminal sexual conduct with an accomplice and use of force, and one count of fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct with lewd exhibition in the presence of a child, according to a criminal complaint filed by the Wright County Attorney’s Office.

According to the complaint:

The girl told police that her mother, who died of a drug overdose in August 2012, would bring the girl into the bedroom to watch her mother and her boyfriend, Lehse, have sex on several occasions. During that time, Lehse would inappropriately touch the girl.

The girl's mother told her to take her clothes off, and if she denied, she was threatened with physical abuse.

Lehse tried to have intercourse with her, but she would push him away, the girl stated to police.

Lehse also forced the girl to perform lewd sexual acts on him other than intercourse, which she re-enacted to police using anatomical dolls.

During the assault, the girl’s mother told her that sex is “a wonderful thing.”

The girl told police her mother introduced her to pornography “to teacher her the right way to have sex,” the complaint stated, in addition to forcing her to watch her mother have sex and participate with her mother and Lehse on numerous occasions.

The investigation began in November 2012, when the girl’s father caught her watching porn on her NOOK tablet. She told her father that her mother got her started in watching porn and that she also had her come into her bedroom to watch her have sex.

Lehse was arrested Jan. 28, 2013, and admitted to police that he dated the girl's mother in September 2011.

He moved into her home in January 2012, and told police he had been alone with the girl from time to time.

On Jan. 29, 2013, Lehse posted a $50,000 bail for his release from Wright County Jail.

The girl is now in her father's care.

this is just sick! i am currently 6 months pregnant with my daughter and i cannot fathom this type of behavior whatsoever! i pray this child gets the counseling she needs so this doesn't affect the rest of her life negatively! i grew near otsego and this is incredibly unbelievable.

This is so beyond disgusting, I can't even find words to express myself. This man should die in prison. And all his assets, if any, should be sold to pay for the counseling the child and her biological father will need to process and overcome this assault on their lives. The only silver lining is that the biological mother has already died due to her own drug abuse.

Not sure if anyone else reads this old post anymore, but I first want to say that this report isn't even fully accurate. It reminds me of something you'd hear from being in a gossip session. First off that the man did NOT move into this womans home. She moved into HIS respectable home and brought her daughter with her. He loved her and was looking at possibly marrying her. And this woman was getting help for her daughter who had a problem with porn before her mother ever met the accused man. This 'little girl' has some major issues. The court case was even thrown out because she wasn't able to lie when she got to the stand. This girl ruined this mans life. And I'm so happy to hear he will not have to go to prison for something he did NOT do. Remember he was only accused. Innocent until proven guilty. Remember the laws of your own land.
