Police and Fire Blotter: Sunny Skies and Dry Roads Lead to Quieter Week in St. Michael-Albertville

The fire logs were dotted with mostly medical calls, and the Wright County Sheriff's Department reported a quiet week through Valentine's Day here in STMA.

It was a quiet few days in St. Michael-Albertville, as the wintry weather gave way and roads dried out. The police and fire blotter were void of any major mishaps in the STMA area last week. 

Feb. 6

 Albertville Fire responded to an alarm at 4:10 p.m. in the 7000 block of Lake Towne Drive. They were canceled en route.

Feb. 7

St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 10000 block of 43rd Court, but was canceled en route by dispatch.

 Feb. 8

The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a fire alarm call in the 4000 block of Mason Avenue. It was a false alarm.

 Feb. 9

Albertville Fire responded to an emergency medical call at 1:11 p.m. at the Bass Outlet Store. A male party was in cardiac arrest.

St Michael Fire was dispatched to a medical call in the 6000 block of LaBeaux Avenue. Wright County Sheriff’s Department deputies canceled the call while SMFD was en route.

 Feb. 10

AFD responded to an emergency call at 1:22 a.m. in the 7500 block of Large Avenue, Otsego. A female party had possibly broken her leg. Rescue provided medical assistance until ambulance could arrive.

Wright County Deputies arrested a 24-year-old Otsego man in Otsego on a warrant for violation of a protection order.

Albertville Fire crews were called at 6:04 a.m. to a car accident at I-94 and County Road 37. They were canceled en route by Wright County Sheriff’s Dispatch.

 The Wright County Sheriff’s Department reported (countywide) 41 property damage accidents, six personal injury accidents, one hit-and-run and three car vs. deer accidents.

There were also 16 arrests for DWI, two underage consumption arrests and 150 tickets issued for miscellaneous traffic violations Feb. 8 to Feb. 14.
