St. Michael, Albertville Fire Calls on Rise in October

A weekly summary of calls to the St. Michael and Albertville community fire departments.

Calls to both the St. Michael and Albertville fire departments rose sharply over the final few days in October, thanks in large part to a barn fire in Monticello Township and a host of medical calls. 

Thursday, October 24
Albertville Fire and Rescue Department (AFD) responded to a medical call in the 9000 block of 77th Street NE in Otsego for an individual with chest pain and shortness of breath.

The AFD responded to a medical call in the 10300 block of Karston Avenue NE for an unresponsive 9 year old male.

St. Michael Fire Department (SMFD) responded to a medical call in the 13000th block of 46th Lane NE for an 80 year old male who was unresponsive.

Friday, October 25
AFD responded to a medical call in the 11600 block of 51st Street NE for a 50-year-old male with difficulty breathing.

AFD and SMFD provided mutual aid to the Monticello Fire Department in the 6700 block of Edmonson Avenue NE in Monticello for a barn fire.

SMFD responded to a medical call in the 6000th block of Lakewood Drive NE for a male who was having difficulty breathing

Saturday, October 26
AFD responded to a medical call in the 6400 block of LaBeaux Avenue NE for a female who fainted.

SMFD responded to a medical call in the 4000th block of Lange Avenue NE for a male who had fallen and bumped his head.

AFD responded to a medical call in the 7500 block of Langley Avenue NE in Otsego for a female who had fallen and hit her head.

SMFD responded to a medical call in the 300th block of Walnut Avenue NE for a 24 year old with stomach pains

AFD responded to a medical call in the 10500 block of 74th Street NE in Otsego for an unresponsive 23-year-old male.

Sunday, October 27
SMFD responded to a medical call in the 4000th block of Lange Avenue NE for a person with back pain.

SMFD responded to a fire alarm call in the 2000th block of Lancaster Avenue NE.

Monday, October 28
SMFD responded to a medical call in the 20th block of Central Avenue W for a male passed out in the parking lot

AFD responded to a call at the intersection of CSAH 37 and Large Avenue NE for a motor vehicle accident clean-up.

SMFD responded to a fire alarm call in the 2000th block of Lancaster Avenue NE.  They were cancelled en-route. 

Tuesday, October 29
AFD responded to a fire alarm call in the 5500 block of Barthel Industrial Drive. The sprinkler system had been damaged causing water flow.

SMFD responded to a medical call in the 11000th block of 16th Street NE for an 80 year old male having difficulty breathing.  

Wednesday, October 30
AFD responded to a medical call in the 10700 block of CSAH 37 for a female with numbness. The call was cancelled by Allina.

Saturday, November 2
AFD responded to a medical call in the 6100 block of Kalenda Court NE for a 66-year-old female having difficulty breathing.

 

Sunday, November 3
AFD responded to a medical call in the 10400 block of 64th Way NE for a female experiencing dizziness and numbness in hands.

AFD responded to a call in the 11000 block of 61st Street NE for a small fire near a dumpster.
