Update —11:25 a.m.:
According to Abby Danielson, store manager at Domino's Pizza in St. Michael, delivery driver Mark Lilleboe was robbed by the two people who ordered pizza to their house.
When he got to their street and got out of his car, they waved him down, then robbed him, she said.
They ordered pizza from an unblocked number, and had ordered pizza several times before from that phone number and address.
"We do have policies on how to deal with suspicious numbers," Danielson said. "But they've ordered from that house before, so we weren't suspecting anything."
Lilleboe will not be working the late night shift for now, she said.
"He's doing fine, he's not going to be closing for a while — he's a bit shook up," Danielson said.
She added that Domino's Pizza tries to make it known that drivers carry less than $15 on the job — that message is printed on every pizza box.
"Honestly, I just think it was a bunch of dumb kids," she said of those who robbed the driver.
The incident has never happened before to any of the drivers at the St. Michael Domino's Pizza.
"Our store has been robbed before, but a driver has never been approached," she said.
