St. Michael Fire Department Assists Families After Tornado

Tuesday's twister was the culmination of a busy week for police, fire services.

Tuesday night's storm had first responders across Wright County on high alert, and St. Michael Fire and Rescue sprung into action after a neighborhood was struck by high wind, eventually tied to a tornado.

Jolene Marie PIekarski, 23, Little Falls was arrested in Morrison County on Wright County warrant for fifth degree controlled substance vioation. 

Laurie Ruth Hayden, 40, St. Cloud, was arrested in Hennpin County on Wright County warrants of check forgery and financial transaction card fraud.

May 3

Mark Gilmore Swanson, 56, Otsego, was arrested in Otsego on Wright County warrants for domestic abuse, violation of a no contact order and stalking. 

Thomas Rober Valentin, 34, Otsego, was arrested in Sherburne County on Wright County warrant for first degree arson. 

May 4

Elizabeth Ellen Hartneck, 49, Buffalo, was arrested in St. Michael on charge of second degree DWI.

Jimmie Dale Callaway, 40, Moundsview was arrested in Ramsey County on Wright County warrant for soliciting a child.

Terrance Evert-Robert Yerke, 19, St. Paul, was arrested in Ramsey County on Wright County warrant for theft.

Matthew Earl Potter, 28, Watertown, S.D., was arrested in Codington County (S.D.) on Wright County warrant for receiving stolen property. 

May 5

Ryan David Jacobson, 21, St. Michael, was arrested in St. Michael on Hennepin County warrant for fifth degree controlled substance violation. 

May 6

St. Michael Fire responded to a call in the 400 block of Central Avenue. There was a dumpster on fire. 

Justin Anthony Longfield, 26, Albertville, was arrested in Albertville on apprehension and detention order from Wright County. 

Thomas James Carlson, 48, Milaca, was arrested in McLeod County on Wright County warrant for identity theft. 

An 18-year-old Champlin man was arrested in Hanover on Wright County warrant for third degree criminal sexual conduct. 

May 7

St. Michael Fire and Rescue responded to a medical call in the 900 block of Ridge Drive. It was canceled en route. 

May 8

Cameron Anthony Dobson, 21, St. Michael, was arrested in St. Michael for disorderly conduct and fleeing on foot.

St. Michael Fire assisted with a nitrogen valve leak in the 12000 block of 42nd Street NE.

May 10

Wright County deputies and St. Michael Fire and Rescue were called the 9000 block of  42nd Street NE after a tornado caused extensive damage to one home and to a fence and deck at another home in the neighborhood. 

Wright County deputies also reported 14 property damage accidents, four hit-and-run accidents, and one car vs. deer accident in the county. 

There were six other arrests for DWI, seven underage consumption arrests and 82 tickets for miscellaneous traffic violations issued through May 9.
