Underage Drinking Rises in Latest St. Michael Area Arrests

The following fire and arrest records were reported by the St. Michael Fire Department and Wright County Sheriff's Department. An arrest implies only that the person was arrested and charged, and is innocent until proven guilty.

April 28
The (SMFD) responded to a medical call in the 40th block of St. Michael Parkway W.  There was a possible drug overdose

April 29
The SMFD responded to a medical call in the 4000th block of Lange Avenue NE for a female with a low oxygen level.

May 1
The SMFD responded to a medical call on Interstate 94 for a male having a possible heart attack.

The SMFD responded to a medical call in the 4000th block of Lange NE for an elderly female having neck and chest pain.

The fire department also responded to a severe weather spotting call at Station 1.

May 2
Zachary Marvin Erpestad, 18, of Otsego was charged with felony unlawful hazardous waste disposal.

May 3
Juan Antonio Arellano, 33 of Albertville was arrested in Buffalo on a Wright County warrant for 5th degree assault.

Tonya Jo Claspill, 43, of St. Michael was arrested in St. Michael on the charges of 3rd degree DWI and open bottle.

May 5
Dakota Michael Merges, 23, of Otsego was arrested in Otsego on the charge of 1st degree DWI.

May 6
Matthew Lewis Logan, 20, of St. Michael was arrested in St. Michael on the charges of minor consumption, under 21 drink and drive and leaving the scene of an accident.

Wright County officers reported nine property damage accidents, two personal injury accidents, five hit-and-run accidents. Deputies made seven arrests for DWI, 11 underage consumption arrests and issued 86 tickets for miscellaneous traffic violations issued this week.
