Wednesday Fire in Albertville Destroys Camper, Damages Garage

The camper was "a total loss," according to Fire Chief Tate Mills.

Crews with the Albertville Fire Department were called to a residence on the 80th Street around 2 p.m. Wednesday on a report of a fire. 

A camper/trailer started on fire behind the home, according to Albertville Fire Chief Tate Mills, and spread to the garage. The camper was considered a total loss, the garage damaged including a couple window “blown out” due to the heat.

No one was injured in the fire.

The fire is still under investigation; although Tate said preliminary findings indicate it the cause was electrical in nature.

The St. Michael Fire Department assisted in responding to the incident.
