Updated: Woman Found Dead Near Otsego Roadside Identified

The woman died just after 12:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10 after falling from a moving vehicle in Otsego.

Around 12:39 p.m. Aug. 10, the Wright County Sheriff's Office responded to an incident involving a motor vehicle on Parrish Avenue Northeast near 93rd Street Northeast in the City of Otsego. 

First responded located Jennifer Mae Nielsen, 27, of Elk River deceased on the east shoulder of the Parrish Avenue Northeast, according to the Wright County Sheriff's Office

"The initial investigation indicates that Nielsen was a passenger in the back seat of a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu being driven northbound on Parrish Avenue Northeast by Stephen Robert Rainey, 28, of Elk River,  when she apparently jumped out of the vehicle as it was moving," Wright County Sheriff's Office Capt. Greg Howell told Patch in an email.

The incident remains under investigation by the Wright County Sheriff's Office and the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office. The Elk River Fire Department, Allina Ambulance and the Minnesota State Patrol also responded to the incident.

A woman died early Saturday morning after falling from a moving vehicle in Otsego, according to a KSTP.com report. 

Wright County Sheriff’s Office responded around 12:30 a.m. Saturday on a report of an incident near 94th Street NE and Parish Avenue NE, according to a KARE11 report. Authorities found the woman “unresponsive” and she was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Her name has not been released. The incident continues to be under investigation. More details will be updated as they are released.

Officials do not suspect foul play in the incident, according to a WCCO report.
