Wright County Sheriff's Department Makes Bust in Rockford Township

Wright County Sheriff's Deputies executed a search warrant on Calder Avenue Southeast in Rockford Township Tuesday, April 12. 

Upon entering the residents, a hyrdoponic marijuana growing operation was discovered, with 45 plants that were each approximately 3 feet tall. Street value of the plants was estimated at more than $10,000. 

Two Buffalo area men were arrested in conjunction with the search and seizure. Steve D. Peterson, 41, and Charles D. Peterson, 43, both of Buffalo, were charged with fifth-degree controlled substance violations. 

In other news, first-responders assisted at a house fire in Monticello Township, about 3 miles west of the intersection of County Road 37 and Jason Avenue (the western border of Albertville).

Monticello Fire and mutual aid responders received a call around 1 a.m. Tuesday, April 12. The homeowner, Jacob Barthel, woke up to a fire in the attic. 

Little damage was done, other than smoke damage and some structural damage to the attic itself. Barthel told firefighters he was doing work in the atti earlier that day, re-insulating the home. The official cause of the fire is still under investigations.

Amber Ranee Houston, 25, St. Michael, was arrested in St. Michael on charge of domestic assault. 

Mark Allen Woods, 51, Albertville, was arrested in Buffalo on an apprehension and detention order from Minnesota Department of Corrections. 

April 5

Tod Jamel Burns, 48, Minneapolis, was arrested in Albertville on charge of theft. 

April 6

Timothy Duane Youngquist, 48, Albertville, was arrested in Albertville on charges of driving after cancellation. 

Dmitriy Karpitsky, 23, Maple Grove, was arrested in Albertville on charge of domestic assault. 

April 7

Bonnie Jean Elletson, 36, Rogers, was arrested in St. Michael on a Wright County warrant for felony theft.

Christopher Michael Nevisson, 40, Albertville, was arrested in Scott County on a Department of Corrections warrant for felony theft.

George Edward Gilliver, 34, Stacy, was arrested in Albertville on charge of third degree DWI and fifth-degree controlled substance violation.

April 8

The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 40th block of Balsam Avenue. A diabetic male was unresponsive.

April 9

The SMFD responded to a medical call in the 400 block of Halsey Avenue. Aa male was in possible cardiac arrest. 

Arpil 10

Morriah Dawn Saunders, 24, Elk River, was arrested in St. Michael on a Wright County warrant for third degree DWI. 

The county sheriff's department reported 12 property damage accidents, three personal injury accidents, five hit-and-run accident and two other arrested for DWI. There were two underage consumption arrests and 89 tickets for various traffic violations last week.
