Albertville Council Presents Awards to Firefighters, Staff

The Albertville City Council presented fire department longevity awards and also a finance award on Tuesday night.

Four fighters were presented with longevity service awards at Monday nights council meeting. Jay Eull, Assistant Fire Chief, Jeff Davis, Captain and Ron Peterson, Lieutenant all received recognition for ten years of service.

Albert Barthel received an award and recognition for 30 years of service. The council also commended him for continuing to respond to daytime calls after 30 years.

Albertville's finance director, Tina Lannes, also received an award Tuesday night from the governmental finance office. She was awarded the CAFR award. The award is in recognition of comprehensive annual financial reporting.

"Less than 10 percent of government entities receive this award," city administrator Larry Kruse said.

This is Lannes' third year in a row receiving the award.
