Albertville Council Holds Special Session Tonight
With the recent termination of the city administrator, the council must make decisions quickly to hire the appropriate city staff.

Because Kruse was essentially holding two positions, city administrator and that , filling the position will be no easy task, fellow staff said. The city clerk position has been advertised, and applications are being accepted through April 26. Because the city is closing on some bond refinancing, an Acting City Clerk is expected to be appointed at tonight's meeting to sign any necessary paperwork.
As for the city administrator role, the council can choose to go several different routes. Considering the hard feelings illustrated by last week's 3 to 2 vote, they may do just that.

"Given the divided vote of the city council in regard to the recent expectations and performance of the city administrator, it appears to me that the council members may have differing expectations from the City Administrator's position," City Attorney Mike Couri wrote in a memo to the council last week.
The council is expected to discuss various options and how they will go about the process at tonight's meeting. The meeting starts at 7 p.m. and is open to the public, with a public forum at the beginning of the meeting.
