'Different Perch'
Bachmann gave her first interview since she (and DFL challenger Jim Graves) left the 2014 race on Fox News' Hannity show

I'm not retiring, I'm not going silent, I'm not quitting my public involvement. In fact I may run for another public office. That could happen. But for right now I think I'm going to find a different perch in order to be able to weigh in on these matters. Sometimes you can be more effective on the outside than on the inside. I've done everything I possible could on the inside. But I still intend to be in on the fight. 

One idea: Bachmann should lead the IRS

2014 Race
The past week has seen several developments in the race to replace Bachmann in 2014: 
Back in Anoka
Bachmann was in Anoka Monday for the funeral of Arnold and Lila Spike, parents of the director of her Minnesota office, Deb Steiskal, according to MinnPost. (They died in early June from injuries resulting from a car accident.)
