Almost two years after Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) finished her presidential run, an ethics investigation reportedly continues.
“The latest is a federal inquiry into whether an outside “super PAC” improperly coordinated strategy Mrs. Bachmann’s campaign staff, including her husband, in violation of election laws,” The New York Times reported on Sept. 5, 2013.
The U.S. Department of Justice requested records via a grand jury subpoena last week, according to the report, for records from the super PAC of its finances, its communications with Bachmann, her husband and former staff member.
Officials representing Bachmann and the National Fiscal Conservative (NFC) Political Action Committee have not responded to requests for comments, according to a Star Tribune report.
