Dump Day: Spring Clean-Up Day is May 5

Weekend warriors can set that "junk" from spring cleaning aside for next weekend.

UPDATE (Friday, May 4): The cities would like to remind residents credit cards will NOT be accepted at the drop-off site. Those wanting to drop off items must pay by cash or check.

St. Michael and Albertville are teaming up once again to present Spring Clean-Up Day, set to run from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 5 at the .

The event will be held rain or shine (as evidenced by last year's downpour).

Dropoff is for St. Michael and Albertville residents only. Nearly everything, including the kitchen sink, will be accepted. Electronics ARE accepted, but should be kept separate.

Items (charge/cost in parentheses) accepted include:

-Tries/wheels (depends on size)

-Flourescent bulbs ($1)

-Grills ($2)

-Propane tanks-cap off, hole drilled ($5)

-Computers, VCRs, DVD players, stereos, printers, copiers ($5)

-Appliances ($10)-no gas or ammonia refrigerators please

-Upholstered chairs ($10)

-Televisions, monitors and laptops ($10)

-Couches ($20)

-Mattresses and box springs ($15 each)

-Recliners ($20)

-Hide-a beds ($30)

-Miscellaneous junk: small pickup load ($40) or large ($60)

Staff from St. Michael and Albertville will be on hand to check identification. No hazardous items such as paint, stains, etc. will be accepted. No contractors, please.
