Learn About the Science of Music at St. Michael Public Library

Preregistration is required for the Saturday, May 11, 2013 event.

The St. Michael Public Library is offering a musical program called The Science of Music, presented by Pages of Music, on Saturday, May 11, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for children in grades 4 through 6.

Pages of Music are Carrie Vecchione, oboe/English horn, and Rolf Erdahl, double bass. They both perform with orchestras and are professional music educators. Their Science of Music program teaches children about sound waves and vibrations, strings and reeds, rubber bands and straws, and how music works.

The attendance limit is 50 and preregistration is required.

This program is funded in part with money from Minnesota’s Arts and Cultural Heritage fund.
