Minnesota's Medicare Debate Draws Questions from, for Local Rep. Joe McDonald

The first-year State House member has requested numbers that examine Medicare's impact on children, for whom, he says, the program was started.

Representative Joe McDonald (R-Delano), who represents St. Michael and Albertville in the Minnesota House, is asked why data needs to be gathered on Medicare services in Minnesota.

McDonald said he wants the data gathered because Medicare was originally created to aid children, and he wants to know if the money is still going to help children. McDonald says since Medicare was created, the program has been expanded to help adults, too.
