Police & Fire Blotter: Minor Medical Mishaps and Substance Abuse

Plenty of people appear to have been feeling the winter blues over the past ten days. Cold weather seems to have kept a lot of people indoors. Myriad substance-related violations and a few medical scares found their way onto this week's police and fire blotter.  

Feb. 22
A 25-year-old Montrose man was arrested in Cokato township on an apprehension and detention order from Wright County.

A 22-year-old Breezy Point man was arrested in Crow Wing County on a Wright County warrant for a probation violation.

Feb. 24
A 51-year-old Coon Rapids man was arrested in Anoka County on a Wright County warrant for theft.

The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a fire call in the 2000 block of Langston Lane NE. There was an odor of something electrical burning.

Feb. 25
A 23-year-old Becker man was arrested in Sherburne County on a Wright County warrant for fourth degree criminal sexual conduct.

A 51-year-old St. Paul man was arrested in Ramsey County on a Wright County warrant for a probation violation.

A 23-year-old St. Michael woman was arrested in St Michael on a Wright County warrant for third degree DWI.

Feb. 26
Albertville Fire Department responded to an accident with injuries at 11:45 AM at the Albertville Outlet Mall. The injuries were only minor.

A 40-year-old Elk River man was arrested in Otsego on a Hennepin County warrant for disorderly conduct.

A 37-year-old St. Michael man was arrested in St. Michael on the charge of fifth degree domestic assault.

The St. Michael Fire Department responded to medical call in the 10,000 block of 46th Place NE. A male (unspecified age) had fallen and was in pain.

The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 300 block of Main Street S. A four-year-old (unspecified gender) was experiencing an irregular heartbeat.

The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 300 block of Hillcrest Drive SE. The department assisted medical authorities with an elderly male (unspecified age) who had fallen.

Feb. 27
A 35-year-old Winsted man was arrested in Buffalo on a Wright County warrant for a parole violation.

A 22-year-old Otsego man was arrested in Otsego on the charge of third degree DWI.

Feb. 28
The department responded to a medical call in the 11,000 block of Town Center Drive NE.  A male (unspecified age) had possibly suffered a stroke.

Mar. 2
The St. Michael Fire Department responded to a medical call in the 300 block of Hillcrest Drive SE. A female (unspecified age) was having difficulty breathing.  

Mar. 3
Albertville Fire Department responded to an oven on fire at 9:35 a.m. on the 6600 block of Marlowe Avenue. The fire department was cancelled in route.

Wright County deputies also reported the following: Accidents involving property damage (89); accidents involving personal injury (1); hit-and-run accidents (3); accidents involving automobiles and deer (0).

Also issued were eight total arrests for DWI, eight underage consumption arrests, no school bus stop arm violations and 89 tickets for miscellaneous traffic violations.
