A Iowa woman and former GOP presidential candidate Michele Bachmann have reached a settlement in a lawsuit over a homeschool email database the woman claimed was stolen from her laptop while she volunteered for the campaign.

The Iowa Republican reports court papers were filed today dismissing with prejudice a case filed by former Bachmann supporter Barb Heki against the Minnesota congresswoman, Iowa Senator Kent Sorenson and others involved. Dismissed with prejudice means the lawsuit can't be refiled. Bachmann represents St. Michael-Albertville and Minnesota's Sixth District in Congress.

Terms of the settlement were not released.

Heki has alleged that Sorenson, who was a leader in Bachmann's Iowa campaign, stole the database, which campaign staffers then used to contact homeschool families. The reported theft happened at the campaign headquarters in Urbandale, Iowa.

Here's more from the Iowa Republican:

Although the lawsuit has concluded, the alleged theft of the database from Heki’s computer is still being investigated by the Urbandale Police Department. An Iowa Senate Ethics Committee investigation is also ongoing. The FBI, FEC and Office of Congressional Ethics are also looking into the Bachmann campaign’s financial dealings, including alleged payments made to Sen. Kent Sorenson.
