Sentencings: Domestic Assault, DWI Lead to Terms for Local Residents

The following sentences were handed down in Wright County District Court over the last week. Information is provided by the office of Wright County Attorney Tom Kelly.

Jeremy Michael Gibbs, 38, Hanover, sentenced on March 12 for Misdemeanor Domestic Assault to 90 days jail, $150 fine; 89 days stayed for one year on conditions of probation, serve 1 day jail, pay $150 fine plus surcharges, pay restitution, have no use or possession of alcohol or non-prescription drugs, submit to random testing, abide by any outstanding order for protection/harassment order, have no contact with victim, have no use or possession of firearms or dangerous weapons, undergo chemical dependency treatment and follow all recommendations, have no same or similar violations.  Sentenced by Judge Davis.

Douglas Alan Knutson, 28, Albertville, sentenced on March 15 for Probation Violations for Gross Misdemeanor Third Degree DWI to 30 days jail.  Sentenced by Judge Tenney.

Brian John Miller, 29,  Elk River, sentenced on Mach 9 for Felony Controlled Substance Crime in the Fourth Degree to a stay of execution for up to 15 years on conditions of probation, serve 291 days in jail, pay $200 fine plus surcharges, pay $75 public defender co-payment, have no use or possession of alcohol or non-prescription drugs, submit to random testing, provide DNA sample, obtain permission before leaving the state, have no use or possession of firearms or dangerous weapons, have no same or similar violations.  Sentenced by Judge Tenney.
