Sentencings: Recent St. Michael Area Sentencings
The following court cases involving area arrests were handed down in Wright County Court. Information is provided by the Wright County Attorney's Office.
Matthew Wayne Gilbert, 34, St. Michael, sentenced Nov. 17 for Probation Violations for Criminal Sexual Conduct in the Second Degree to 90 days jail. Sentenced by Judge Mottl.
Thomas Gregory Cavanaugh, 27, St. Michael, sentenced Nov. 16 for Misdemeanor Violation of an Order for Protection to 90 days jail, $1,000 fine; 90 days, $800 stayed for one year on conditions of probation, pay $200 fine plus surcharges, complete a compassion workshop and follow all recommendations, have no contact with victim, abide by any outstanding order for protection/harassment order, have no use or possession of firearms or dangerous weapons, have no same or similar violations. Sentenced by Judge Mottl.
