St. Cloud Times: John Pederson Files for Michele Bachmann's Seat in Congress

He represents St. Cloud in the Minnesota Senate and joins announced Sixth District candidates Tom Emmer, Rhonda Sivarajah and Judy Adams.

Another Republican has made public his intentions to seek the U.S. House of Representatives seat now held by Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN): state Sen. John Pederson (R-St. Cloud) has filed with the Federal Election Commission, according to the St. Cloud Times:

If elected to the U.S. House, Pederson said he would bring the same open-door approach he has employed in the Minnesota Legislature.

“I listen to both sides of the issue before I cast a vote,” Pederson said. “That’s the way I’ve served this Senate district, and that’s the way I plan on serving this congressional district if I have a chance to do that.”
