The Legacy of St. Michael Receives Expansion Approval

Construction could begin in October.

After a review by the St. Michael City Council, The Legacy of St. Michael recently received approval to expand.

The preliminary and final plats along with the amended PUD site plan were approved at the Sept. 10 city council meeting. The council also approved an amendment to the overall Town Center master land use and concept plan.

The proposed expansion will include adding 24 units at the facility located at 4400 Lange Avenue NE as well as 12 parking stalls.  The expansion is anticipated to span the senior housing facility on an additional 1.17-acres of land.

A representative with Trident Development told the council the project is on a “quick schedule” and would like construction to begin in October, according to meeting minutes.

The expansion could be completed and open in the summer of 2014.

The Legacy of St. Michael is an independent living, assisted living and memory care active adult community for those 55 and over, according to the business website.
