VIDEO: Michele Bachmann Lashes Out at U.S. Supreme Court over Gay Marriage

The court 'decided it is their morality or immorality ... which must prevail,' Bachmann said at a press conference.

U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) spoke against the U.S. Supreme Court rulings on the Defense of Marriage Act and California's Prop. 8 at a press conference in Washington, D.C.

Watch it in the YouTube above (on our desktop site) or at YouTube.com (Bachmann starts at about the 16:00 mark).

Among her remarks:

"You have five individuals on the court who have decided it is their morality or immorality—their view of morality or immorality—which must prevail. ... The Supreme Court ... attacked something that they have no jurisdiction over whatsoever. The foundational unit of our society, which is marriage. That is something that God created. That is something that God will define. The Supreme Court, though they may think so, have not yet arisen to the level of God."

Bachmann represents St. Michael-Albertville and Minnesota's Sixth District in Congress.
