(VIDEO) Michele Bachmann on Margaret Thatcher: 'She Had Great Moral Clarity'

The congresswoman called the former prime minister ''the most consequential political woman of the last 100 years.'

U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) attended the funeral for former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in London Wednesday and spoke about the experience to reporters in England and Minneapolis.

A reporter from Britain's Sky News asked Bachmann: "Was there a little bit of Magaret Thatcher in you?" Bachmann replied by describing Thatcher as "the most consequential political woman of the last 100 years."

"She was a great intellect and she had a great heart. ... And she put them together along with her spirit. ... She had great moral clarity. She understood the issues of the day."

Bachmann was also interviewed on WCCO-AM Wednesday about Thatcher. "She certainly had a very profound influence on my life," Bachmann told WCCO-AM.
