What’s Open, Closed in St. Michael-Albertville Today

President's Day is one of those holidays that might leave you scratching your head with what's open for business, or shut down in observation.

With Monday the official observation of President’s Day, it’s a chance to look at what’s open and closed in the St. Michael area for the government holiday.

Post Offices: The St. Michael and Albertville branch offices will both be closed today. There is no mail delivery. If you have to send that package out today, Goin’ Postal is open as are most courtesy/customer service counters, which brings us to…

Grocery Stores: Yes, Coborns and Marketplace are both open normal hours on Monday, despite the holiday.

Banks: Some banks are closed. However, the Wells Fargo Bank inside Marketplace will be open for limited hours. UPDATE: Great Northern Bank and other branches appear to be open as well, so it's probably best to check with your local branch for hours and availability.

Schools: St. Michael Catholic School and St. Michael-Albertville Public Schools are both closed in observation of the holiday.

Government Offices: The City of St. Michael may have public works personnel out if it snows, but all offices are closed. Albertville City Hall is closed, but will also be keeping an eye on roads with snow and freezing rain in the forecast.

The Albertville Premium Outlets: Not only is the mall open, but many stores are participating in the outlets’ annual Presidents’ Day Sale. Plus, Feburary is always a good time to check those clearance racks for some winter clothing that’s on the way out the door.
