St. Michael's Big Woods Elementary Up For $1,500 Prize for School Library

Voting is open to the community. The contest is through St. Cloud's Wild Country 99, KZPK 98.9 FM. Big Woods is the only STMA school in the contest.

Big Woods Elementary School is competing with schools in other Minnesota towns for a $1,500 prize for its school library.

February is "I love to Read" month. The contest is through the St. Cloud radio station Wild Country 99's Wild About Reading 2013 program.

Voting is now open to the community — Big Woods families are asking the community to visit the contest page and vote for the local school.

Other schools competing for the prize include districts in St. Cloud, Sartell, Kimball, Sauk Rapids, Cold Spring, Rockville, and others.

The $1,500 prize is given by the radio station, Coborn's and Plaza Park Bank.

Big Woods is also signed up for the radio station to have an on-air personality read to its students.
