Community Curriculum Advisory Committee Seeks New Members

The school district Community Curriculum Advisory Committee is seeking new members.

The is seeking new members for the Community Curriculum Advisory Committee (CCAC). This committee, comprised of citizens, teachers, administrators, parents, and a
student, meets monthly. The purpose of the CCAC is to encourage active
participation in all phases of planning and improving instruction and curriculum affecting state/district standards. The ultimate goal of the committee is to involve the community in shared decision making in an effort to augment communication while improving student academic achievement.

Committee members review test data, state reports on curriculum and instruction, listen to periodic building reports, review district goals, and serve on curriculum review committees. During the 2012-2013 school year, CCAC members will be invited to serve on curricular committees in
the content area of math.

If you are interested in becoming part of this committee, please complete the Interest Indicator form on the STMA web site (look on left hand side for curriculum and then CCAC) or contact Dr. Ann-Marie Foucault, Director of Curriculum and Instruction at annmarief@stma.k12.mn.us or 763-497-6524.
