At the sale, all students were able to shop for holiday gifts. The event brought in more than $1,800, according to Tina Notch, a member of the Big Woods PTO.

The money went toward buying new items as holiday gifts for those struggling to get presents under their Christmas trees.

Although they were not led by reindeer or traveling on a sleigh, fourth-graders were led by Gabe Hackett, dean of students, when they shopped for gifts Wednesday morning, and like Santa, they had one thing in mind: what did these families want for the holidays?
