Middle School East Goes Blue for Aly

The St. Michael-Albertville Middle School East Student Council Helps School Rally For Aly

On January 20th, St. Michael-Albertville Middle School East hosted a “Rally for Aly” day in honor of Aly Juntunen.

Aly is a fifth-grader at Middle School East who was diagnosed with brain cancer last spring. She has undergone many treatments the past year.

The Student Council thought it would be a good idea to honor Aly, so they sold nearly 200 blue “Rally for Aly” t-shirts and wristbands. We then set a date when everyone would wear the blue shirts and wristbands they bought and get together for a large, group photo in the gym to show their support.

Aly's family was able to come in and take the picture with all of the students who dressed up in their blue “Rally for Aly” t-shirts or blue shirts.

Thank you Zahler Photography for donating your time to take the group picture and have it proudly hung up on the walls of Middle School East.
