St. Michael-Albertville High School Homecoming Coronation Tonight

The school welcomes back alumni with coronation tonight, and homecoming week culminates with the football game and dance Friday, Sept. 30

is set to welcome back the community and all alumni to the area with Homecoming Week 2011.

The week of blue and gold begins today with a pair of evening activities. The Homecoming Coronation–announcing this year’s king and queen–will take place at 7:30 p.m.

This year’s homecoming court includes (girls) Elyssa Eull, Erin Hofford, Courtney Hanson, Shaylee Schei and Amanda Koep; and (boys) Shawn Morris, Trevor Nevin, David Janney, Cody Drimel and Zack Wimmergren.

A bonfire will be held on the grass area between the two football practice fields immediately after coronation, or around 8:30 p.m. will be on hand to ensure safety.

Activities will continue throughout the week, with the students sponsoring various “theme days.”

Plus, various activities will be in action throughout homecoming week. The boys’ soccer team will host Big Lake at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Knights girls tennis is at home (4 p.m. ) vs. Champlin Park, and the Knights girls’ soccer team will host Patrick Henry (7 p.m.) vs. Partick Henry. Girls’ swimming will also be in action at home at 6 p.m. Thursday vs. Becker.

The action all leads up to the big homecoming game Friday, as St. Michael-Albertville hosts Buffalo at 7 p.m. at the Middle School West stadium.

Following the game, the student council and high school will host the 2011 Homecoming Dance at the high school cafeteria from 9 to midnight.
