St. Michael-Albertville Middle School West Organizes Run For Larson

A group of friends and family will host the first-ever "Fire Up" Run, in memory of slain Middle School West teacher Timothy Larson. Proceeds will benefit his family.

Expect this community of blue and gold to be overrun with blaze orange on Saturday, Nov. 12.

That’s when the St. Michael-Albertville Middle School West family will host a run in memory of one of its own–late special education teacher Timothy Larson.

Larson was tragically killed when he was shot to death, allegedly by Delbert Huber, in Kandyohi County.

The walk/run is set for 9 a.m., and will begin at Middle School West. It will be a 5K. The course is the same as it is for the 5K. The race will be timed, but awards will not be handed out.

Those who pre-register (cost is $20) with the school for the run will be guaranteed an orange–Tim’s favorite color–shirt, with his favorite saying. Registration will be available the day of the race for $25.
