St. Michael-Albertville School District a Top Minnesota Workplace

The St. Michael-Albertville school district has been recognized for being a top Minnesota workplace.

St. Michael-Albertville School District [STMA] qualified as Top Workplaces according to a StarTribune survey of key factors that make up top workplaces.  Sixty other Minnesota companies joined STMA on the list that met national work place standards based upon a confidential survey of employees conducted by Workplace Dynamics in partnership with the StarTribune.

STMA was invited to participate after an employee nominated the district.  Employees could then voluntarily agree to complete a survey rating the district on factors that are determined to contribute to a desirable place to work. Employees responded to questions around six areas that cover factors such as career, pay and leadership as well as factors associated with the company heading in the right direction, communication and employees’ feelings of making a difference

“Our employees make the difference for our students. We know that we best serve children and families when our employees feel appreciated and are confident that what they are doing is making a difference in addition to feeling they can make a living from their work, superintendent Jim Behle said.

Jennifer Claseman, Director of Human Resources stated that the school board is proud of the dedication and commitment of STMA employees to students and families.  One of the strategic directions for the next four years is to hire, retain and develop high-performing staff capable of delivering outstanding education.

This news and award makes the STMA school district even more desirable for potential employees. "We want to hire the right people to work with our
talented staff as we strive for all students to reach their greatest potential
as learners," Behle said.
