Texting While Driving Is Topic of New Video by STMA Senior: KARE11
Eli Guillou won the Minnesota Department of Public Safety contest last year with a PSA about seatbelt use.
St. Michael-Albertville High School senior Eli Guillou is aiming to repeat the success of his 2012 video encouraging seat-belt use with a new video about the dangers of texting while driving, KARE11 reported.
Guillou has again entered the annual statewide contest he won in 2012, when his video went on to air during the 2012 MTV Music Awards.
The deadline for the Minnesota Department of Public Safety contest is today, Monday, April 15, 2013.

Gaillou told KARE11 it's about more than the contest for him:
"It's helping me realize that I wasn't just doing that for the contest. Actually getting the word out and having people see this video will actually help people think about it, before they actually look at their phone while they're driving," Guillou said.
