Tribute to a Friend at St. Michael-Albertville Hockey Game

Prior to its game versus Hutchinson, a 4-1 win, the Knights paid respect to a friend and fellow skater.

Saturday at the was to be Luke Letellier's day.

The Knights boys' hockey team, of which he almost surredly would have been a part of if Luke hadn't been diagnosed with cancer in the eighth grade, was set to pay tribute to the kid who wore No. 44 in youth hockey.

Instead, Luke was at home, resting and trying to recover before a big night. He was asked to attend the Minnesota Wild game vs. the Dallas Stars as part of Hockey Day Minnesota.

Prior to that, the Knights paid tribute to their friend, taking a knee and observing a moment of silence on the ice, in front of the Knights' cheering section.

At the end, the team raised their hands in a huddle, per tradition. Upon breaking, instead of shouting "Knights," the team simply said, "Luke."
