VIDEO: Rotary Art Auction in St. Michael to Feature Over 60 Pieces

St. Michael area artists and students of all ages from STMA schools will have their work featured in the Feb. 28 event.

The video above gives a peek at what will come to St. Michael City Hall Feb. 28.

The third annual art auction, organized by St. Michael-Albertville High School art teachers for the first time, is expected to raise money for art scholarships. The scholarships will be put together by the St. Michael-Albertville Rotary Club, the organization that runs the art auction each year.

More than 60 pieces of art from students in elementary through high school have been prepared for donation at the auction. Area artists will also have professional work up for sale. Art mediums include painting, printmaking, drawing, sculpture, photography and ceramics, to name a few.

Check back for photos and a story featuring an art teacher and STMA student artist participating in the art auction.

The event is set for Thursday Feb. 28 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at St. Michael City Hall. There will be a preview from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. All student work is currently displayed in the main office at St. Michael-Albertville High School.
